Bail Jars are round plastic jars with wire bail closures that tightly seals up. The tight seal makes these jars perfect for storing dry ingredients. Bail Jars look beautiful when filled with bath salts or botanicals. Bail jars can also be used to package your homemade laundry soap!
Strength of the Glass Jar: Generally, the roundness of the bottle helps equalize the pressure across the surface. On the other hand, due to uneven pressure, the square-shaped bottles have a high probability of getting chipped at corners.
They will be airtight once the lid is screwed on only if the jar, lid, and ring are not compromised. However, there will still be air inside the jar. The only way to remove air from the jar is by following the safe canning practices recommended by the USDA, which forms a vacuum.

Use soapy water to make sure that the jar is clean before sterilising. Take care to rinse off all the washing-up liquid. Place in the microwave (while still wet) and turn on 'high' (usually around 1,000 watts) for 30-45 seconds. Place them upside-down on a piece of absorbent kitchen paper (like Plenty) to dry off.
If you're planning on canning, you can reuse your purpose-made glass jars and screw bands, as long as they're in good condition. The metal snap lids, on the other hand, are made to be used once. Once the gummy, rubbery seal on the lid is heated and cooled, it can't make the same quality of seal again.
